Aaron and I went to the Gulf Breeze Zoo this past Thursday with the SDS 1st and 2nd graders. The weather was very pleasant while we were there and there was a breeze…thank goodness or this post would sound so different. :)
Aaron and I really enjoyed our time there. It was very different from the B'ham Zoo. It was smaller but an open concept. There were birds roaming everywhere and you could feed almost all the animals. The train ride was the best because it took you all over the zoo and brought you close up to the animals…in fact some animals could cross the tracks or block the tracks. It was really cool.
There were Peacocks all over the place...and one was all white.
Right next to the train tracks...
Protecting his territory...and no, not with poo.
Look, a Cebu! Nope, it's a Water Buffalo.
We loved our time together and hope that we get to take the rest of our family there too...or at least that they get to go when they are 2nd and 1st grade.
